On October 26, the 1st China Space Science Assembly was inaugurated at Xiamen. Wu Ji, Chairman of Chinese Society of Space Research (CSSR) and Chairman of University Council Zhang Yan, Lin Xiqiang, Vice Director of China Manned Space Engineering Office addressed the opening ceremony. Hosted by CSSR and XMU, the assembly offered a platform for experts to discuss hot-spot issues in the areas of manned space mission, the lunar exploration mission and satellites engineering.
