On September 15, 2019, Culture Forum on Mid-Autumn Festival was hosted at the Science and Art Center of XMU. The festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of Chinese calendar. The activity began with a traditional Mid-Autumn festival activity "mooncake gambling" and the performance of Chinese Orchestra. Prof. Zhu Shuiyong, Prof. Shi Yilong, Prof. Qiushijie and Prof. Chen Ming'er from the College of Humanities were invited to discuss the spiritual contents and realistic significance of Mid-Autumn Festival from the perspectives of literature, history and folklore. The forum was intended to raise the youth's awareness of cultural inheritance and to promote excellent traditional Chinese cultures worldwide.
